March 31st 2020:  18 years ago on March 31st 2002 I began this era of my career as an Enterprise Agility thought leader.  I wanted to diversify myself from being so deeply submerged in two specialist industries, Oil & Gas and then Aerospace.  Plus, I wanted to follow my passion for "Agile Breakthrough Leadership".  Leadership not just management.  Breakthrough not just incremental.  Agile not just traditional ("waterfall").  I have had a blast working with such a diversity of industries, businesses and leaders.

December 2019:  What a delight to help Online Trading Academy be honored with the Dale Carnegie's annual International Leadership Award, established in 1977 and awarded to one company globally per year.  We are in great company with previous award winners including Daimler-Chrysler and SAS Scandinavian Airlines.  I have been an ardent advocate of Dale Carnegie since first using them 25 years ago when I first became a CEO.  It was at a Dale Carnegie annual convention in 1999 that I first gave a keynote outlining an early incarnation of the Agility Operating System.

It was a sunny Sunday afternoon in Seattle when I pulled onto his drive.  It was a great start to a great afternoon I spent with Alan Mulally, the former CEO of Ford, at his home in Seattle comparing notes on his "Working Together" system and my work on Agility.   It was a continuation of a conversation we had started a couple of months prior when I invited him to join my Vistage CEO Group for the afternoon.  What a fantastic afternoon it was.

December 2018:  It was with very mixed feelings that I brought to an end my time as a Vistage/TEC Chair and Speaker after 15 years (2003-2018).  I Chaired 4 Groups, with 300+ CEO/Executive members, facilitating more than 500 group meetings and 2000 one-to-one coaching sessions.  As a Vistage/TEC Speaker, I spoke to more than 400 Groups of more than 5000 members in 5 Countries on the topic of Agility.  I was  acknowledged as the Global Community's Thought Leading Agility Expert and also mentored/trained Vistage/TEC Chairs.  I decided it was time to dedicate myself to my Agility work even more, globally.

How cool was that!  Spending the day at Marine Corp Air Station (MCAS) Miramar, the former home of Top Gun.  We spent the day in the officers club, we interacted with fighter pilots who were our hosts and we got to fly in the simulators. 

How cool was that!  Having Alan Mulally, former CEO of Ford, join my Vistage CEO Group for the afternoon!  He joined in our issue processing and other traditions, including cats & dogs (his cell phone rang at one point and one of the members lobbed the cat at him, which he took onboard with grace and humor … I gave him the cat to take away as a memento)
